Krebs Sewage Degritting

Krebs Sewage Degritting Cyclones are used exclusively in sewage treatment plants to remove grit, sand, and other inorganic solids from the primary clarifier or grit chamber underflow. Hydrocyclones are more efficient and cost less than gravity sedimentation systems. Debris such as pencils, bottle caps, and other debris found in the raw sewage cause abrasive wear on process equipment and can damage the operation of the digester. Deposited inorganic material causes loss of degester capacity and will eventually result in a complete plant shutdown for cleaning and renovation.

Krebs Sewage Degritting Cyclones are designed to remove at least 98% of the grit entering the feed inlet that is larger than 150 mesh and having specific gravity of 2.65 or greater.
