FLSmidth ABON has been manufacturing Vertical Shaft Impactors for over 30 years and is the original manufacturers of the Quarrymasta*Kumbee range of Vertical Shaft Impactors.
Upon entering a Vertical Shaft Impactor, material is accelerated by the centrifugal action of the revolving centre rotor, and thrown outwards against the corrugated breaker plates. On impact against these plates the material explodes, resulting in a very high proportion of the rock being reduced to fine mesh size.
